You'll see and hear the wildlife surrounding Lords Pond. Then we'll give you a fabulous tasty box lunch and send you on your way geocaching all the way to
Right Off the Batt Pottery in nearby Kinkora. We'll give you the itinerary. On the way, you'll see and discover some of the Island's prettiest red dirt roads. Enjoy your boxed lunch at your favourite
geocache.
Drop off your eco-friendly lunch containers and the GPS units at Right Off the Batt Pottery.
Once you arrive at Right Off the Batt, Cindy will give you hands-on instruction in the basics of handbuilding pottery. By demonstrating how to pinch, coil, extrude and roll out a slab of clay you'll spend an afternoon discovering your own creativity, reminiscent of playing with play dough as a young child.
By the time you're finished, you will have some truly unique treasures to bring home with you. After you leave the studio, Cindy will see your treasures through to completion by doing the applicable drying, glazing and firing. This process can take between 5 and 10 days. If you are here long enough, you may be able to pick up your finished pieces. Otherwise, they can be shipped to you for an additional nominal charge.
And who knows, maybe you'll be hooked on geocaching and pottery-making by the time you leave Prince Edward Island.
